Across the US Universities use the police force as a tool to strip students of their freedom of speech creating tension with the faculty and staff.
In 2017 at Ohio University 70 students and community members were arrested for protesting Trump's Muslim Ban in their student center. They were calling on Ohio University staff to protect their international students from being targeted by the administration. They were able to organize and have their charges dropped. In 2026 we can look back and see the intense juncture they were at and how we are battling the effects to this day. The arrest of the 70 ask you: Which Side Are You On, Friends?
